Hiring for Planning & Zoning Administrator

The Town of Ravenel is accepting applications for the full-time position of Planning and Zoning Administrator.  This is a highly involved and integral position responsible for administration of the Town’s Zoning Code and Comprehensive Plan, permitting, and plan reviewing and works closely with the Town Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals.

The successful, experienced, candidate will have municipal zoning experience, be detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.  Good, professional communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills are critical. 

The Town is looking for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in a municipal environment.  A bachelor’s degree in urban planning, or a closely related field is desired.  AICP certification is helpful.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  Salary will be dependent upon qualifications.
